Top 10 haram words

FMT reported:

“Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been named as one of the top 10 anti-semitic people for 2010 by the the Simon Weisenthal Centre.

However, the 84-year-old statesman refuted the charge, saying he was not against the Arabs and other semitic people, or for that matter Jews who rejected Zionism.”

We hope that the media in 2011 will exercise more care in their choice of words and stop applying or allowing these words in relation to the following people:

1.  statesman / Mahathir Mohamad

2.  First Lady / Rosmah Mansor

3.  Trojan horse / Zaid Ibrahim

4.  katak / Ibrahim Ali

5.  Zionist / Apco

6.  caliph / Lim Guan Eng (hahaha – we at Hartal can take a dig at ourselves but the difference is we use the description in jest whereas the media use ‘statesman’ and ‘First Lady’ in all earnestness)

7. “beaten within an inch of his life” / Anwar Ibrahim (he got a black eye, he did not have all his ribs broken)

8.  Azmin Ali ??? — he’s so bland that perhaps being described as Anwar’s ‘lieutenant’ is appropriate after all

9.  porn star / Chua Soi Lek — the new media editors must stop permitting their readers to hit CSL below the belt in the comments section

10. Ridhuan Tee should be banned from using ‘kiasu’

For an elaboration on (1), i.e. Mahathir’s Jew-bashing and ethnic hate, please read our next posting, see Rebutting Mahathir, the ‘proud to be anti-Semitic’ hypocrite.
ANTI-SEMITISM GOES MAINSTREAM, 2010 Top Ten Anti-Semitic Slurs

1. “Jews should get the hell out of Palestine. They should go home to Poland, Germany, America and everywhere else.”

– May 2010 / Helen Thomas, former UPI Senior White House correspondent (Hartal write-up on Thomas here).

2. “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people,” [there is a greater focus on the Holocaust than on Russian suffering because of] “the Jewish domination of the media.”  “There’s a major lobby in the United States,” “They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f***** up U.S. foreign policy for years.”

– July 2010/ Oliver Stone, film director

3. “Jews “had always been a problem in European countries. They had to be confined to ghettoes and periodically massacred.” … “Even after the massacre by the Nazis of Germany, they survived to continue to be a source of even greater problems for the world.”

– January 2010 / Mahathir Mohammad

As Hizbullah steadily and with certainty takes over Lebanon, I’d rather
think Helen’s cousins in Beirut might not feel so enamoured of Shia Islam
once they are pushed out of Lebanon-but then maybe HT doesn’t care
about her relatives as the global accolades for her false bravado mean
more to her…HT was always a wingbag anjd hypocrite. She has said nary
a word about discrimination against Copts in Egypt or Christians in any Arab
country for that matter in her whole career…disgusting hypocrite and gives other
Lebanese-Americans a bad name in my opinion.

Anti- Semitism is not something new. It has been around since the time of Christ. People who despise Jews should do some soul searching. Is it because that they are indeed blessed by God? They are not synonymous just for their hook noses but also that they are successful in everything that they do. In actual fact they are very god fearing people. Their religion might be ritualistic but it is closer to Islam in their adherence to the concept that religion is a way of life. Besides their strong religious conviction, they are just plain hardworking! They should be emulated and not despised. They are people who have survived against all odds throughout history. Give them their due. I just don’t see why our ‘statesman’ should go on a Jew bashing tirade’ all the time. It is quite beneath him.
