Just a little earlier, LGE wanted to sue Utusan. There are several other pieces of published articles over which DAP leaders have announced they will sue the writers and their organizations. DAP is becoming litigation crazy.

But as we’ve asked before, where’s the follow-up to cases in the past where DAP has threatened to sue the press?

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. Don’t just take DAP or Umno’s word for it.

Talking about demos on the street and since our previous posting picked up on the Prophet Muhammad cartoon riots disclosure via Wikileaks, and Malaysians typically use ‘Zionism‘ as a four-letter word without knowing what it means, here’s a little more to add to the discussion.

From ‘Jewish Chronicle’ columnist Jonathan Hoffman:

Listen to the chanting: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and “Hey, ho, Israel has got to go” (see YouTube 4:45)

This was not a demo to support the Palestinians – it was a demo in favour of the eradication of the Jewish State.

It was therefore incitement to race hate. Why do the police allow it and why will our leaders [in the UK] not urge prosecution of the organisers? Because of the Mick Davis syndrome?

Hoffman is talking about the demonstration on Monday (Dec 27) outside the Israel embassy in London to commemorate the second anniversary of Israel’s attack on Gaza.

What kind of people made up the protesters?

Among the demonstrators were the Neturei Karta, an anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox Jewish group. They are the poster boys lauded by the Mahathir types who claim, ‘See, there are even Jews who also are against Zionism’.

Neturei Karta, which calls “the cursed Zionists”, “filthy, deplorable traitors” had once before distributed leaflets asserting that “the terror attack on the Chabad House in Mumbai was a punishment from God for the organization’s collaboration with Zionist Israelis”.

The anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group were in effect saying Moshe Holtzberg deserved to be orphaned at the age of two and crying by the bloodied bodies of his father and mother who were killed in the terror strike.

The problem with Malaysians — like ‘John’ who shot an invective at Maz (see Hartal readers comment exchange here) — is that the control of MSM in Malaysia allows the audience to be exposed to only one side (pro-Palestinian) of the story which comes in the form of propaganda dished out kau-kau.

There is a lot of info out there in cyber space that will provide a more balanced picture. It just takes more effort to look for info yourself than to be spoonfed by the MSM and populist opinion (like the Jew-bashing led by Mahathir, Caliph Umar Lim Abdul Aziz and his vizier Ng Wei Aik).

The same principle of lack of balanced coverage applies to local issues; you need to find out the other side to the issues (read Malay, Chinese and Tamil press and blogs), not just Umno propaganda or DAP propaganda.
