Dari kataku, untuk generasiku

(This is a 19-year-old Malaysian’s dream for Malaysia. You can read the original article at Larry Yap’s blog here.)

“I have a dream.” -Martin Luther King Jr.

Everyone has a dream, and I am a young boy who dreams in and out of sleep. This is not a bad thing, actually. As a matter of fact, people who dreams often knows where they want to go, what they want to do. They turn their dreams into visions, and pursue their visions.

Then, dreams became reality.

My dream for my country, however, is not just in my head, it was written as such.

———————————————————–

“Negaraku, tanah tumpahnya darahku”
My country, it’s land is where my BLOOD was spilled.

“Rakyat hidup bersatu dan maju”
People live in UNITY and ever ADVANCING.

“Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan”
BLESSINGS and HAPPINESS, God BLESSED.

“Raja kita, selamat bertakhta”
Our king, shall reign in PEACE.

“Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan
BLESSINGS and HAPPINESS, God BLESSED.

“Raja kita, selamat bertakhta”
Our king, shall reign in PEACE.

———————————————————–

I have a vision of my own to the generation I live in. That this land will live up to the anthem it has sung for the past 54 years. I have a dream for this land and that dream is written on the national anthem.

To all young Malaysians, I challenge you, as a 19 year old Malaysian, to dream for Malaysia.

Write what Malaysia should be like!

Fight for the justice of Malaysia!

Know our country!

Go against corruption of the government!

Does this means we protest against the government? No! Rather, learn now from the SINS OF OUR FOREFATHERS and work towards what is right. Do it for the future generation that they may see what is right and do likewise. We may not save Malaysia now, but let us save it’s future.
