PDRM’s fishing expeditions were rather creative lately.
A recent example was when Zunar was taken for an unsolicited ‘Le Tour de Brickfields/Puchong/Serdang/KLIA Sepang‘.
The latest refers to the Bar Council Legal Aid Centre personnel getting ‘detained’ for distributing the Red Book.
TMI carried the story.
Excerpts:
- Four legal aid volunteers trying to educate the public on their basic rights when faced with the police were themselves briefly detained today by police for distributing a book on remand rights.
- They were released some three hours later without charge. No statements were taken from them, and copies of the “Red Book” which had earlier been confiscated by the police were returned to them.
Duhhhh!!! Makes one wonder what the fuss was all about, doesn’t it.
And yet, these Perkasa lot (shown below) were handled with T.L.C. by PDRM.
I guess the new IGP is still using the old broom, eh folks.
